Postdoctoral Research Associate
Mudasir graduated with BSc (Honours) in Chemistry from India's premier university, the Aligarh Muslim University with First Class Honours. He earned his Masters from Tohoku University (Japan), graduating with distinction in 2015. There he was working on Molecular Magnetism and Carbon Nanotube Electronics. He, later on, changed track and did his PhD here at Imperial studying Solid Oxide Fuel Cells with Professor Skinner at the Department of Materials. Mudasir, now a Research Associate at the Materials Department, is working on proton oxide conductors with a particular focus on the surface exchange and diffusion of protonic species to understand the ion transport kinetics by using state-of-the-art surface analysis techniques including secondary ion mass spectrometry, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and ion scattering spectroscopy.
