Yuming started her PhD in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London in 2023, under the supervision of Professor Stephen Skinner. She currently focuses on degradation and lifetime of solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) air electrodes in high concentrations of steam. Various experimental techniques, XRD, SEM, EIS, etc., will be used to get a better understanding of material structure, stability, and electrochemical property. Before joining the group, she graduated from Imperial College with her master degree, and focused on the  influences of grain size on the ionic conductivity of commercial electrolyte material.
